The upswing in key scrips persisted on the Calcutta Stock Exchange yesterday extending the bullish trend as buyers provided fresh support. However, profittaking wiped part of the gains towards close. The turnover stood at Rs 846.05 crore.
The rise in major scrips took the 50-scrip CSE index to 115.45 points at the close gaining 1.21 points over the previous close. After opening at 114.24 points, CSE index touched a mid-day high of 115.94 points, dipped to 114.27 points and subsequently moved up to close at 115.45 points.
Tisco stayed in the limelight on brisk bull support which lifted it to a new high of Rs 199 before settling
at Rs 193.90. ACC finished at Rs 1176, Reliance at Rs 322, ITC at Rs 496.50, SBI at Rs 324.50 and Tata Tea at Rs 372.
