The sales and repurchase prices of the US-64 scheme will be revised from tomorrow. This follows revelations that the net asset value of the scheme has plunged sharply following a rapid erosion in its equity portfolio.
UTI chairman P S Subramanyam confirmed that the prices would be changed with effect from October 1. "These were special July prices which had been extended till September. We will be revising them from the beginning of October," he said.
Subramanyam said there would be a "minor change in price" but no market changes. He did not give details of the planned new prices.
