The notebook has a 13.3-inch screen with a 3,200 x 1,800 QHD display. The first thing that struck me was the vivid colour display. I decided to watch Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris on it and the sharp images made the viewing experience enjoyable.
The notebook that I got runs Windows 10 on an Intel i5 processor. Though my love is reserved for Windows 7, the UX303UB didn't irk or disappoint me. Multi-tasking was a pleasurable experience. However, it did slow down a bit while using Evernote, maybe because of the constant synchronisation.
The notebook houses a Nvidia GeForce 940M graphic card so naturally, the gamer in me decided to test it out. I ran Batman: Arkham Origins and Firewatch on it. Both the games require a powerful machine for an optimum experience. I was pretty impressed when I could see the raindrops clearly on Batman's cape as he fought off the goons. The notebook also brought out the amber-tinged skies of Shoshone National Forest in Firewatch pretty well.
Asus has also taken care of a crucial aspect. Most notebooks heat up considerably especially while playing games that require high specifications. But, the UX303UB came out victorious in this aspect. Even though, I spent a good four-five hours playing Firewatch, the notebook didn't burn my lap on which it was precariously placed.
At Rs 71,490, the Asus Zenbook UX303UB definitely is on the higher side but powerful performance combined with excellent graphics makes this a delight to use.
