BSNL partners Datacraft for cloud services

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has entered into a strategic alliance with Datacraft Asia Limited to provide data centre services in India. The agreement will see Datacraft build, operate and manage six strategic data centres across the country for BSNL. The two firms will jointly sell the managed, hosted and cloud 'IT as a Service' from these facilities under the brand “onecloud”, a press release said.

Kerosene for TN motorboats

The Tamil Nadu government has ordered supply of 200 litres of kerosene at Rs 25 a litre per motorised country boat every month to fishermen in three districts with a large presence of the fishing community. The state will incur an additional expenditure of Rs 77 crore a year on this scheme, which applies to the districts of Tuticorin, Kanyakumari and Thirunelveli, according to a government release.
