iBall, an Indian electronics manufacturer known for its affordable computer peripherals and smart devices, recently launched a wireless speaker that  doubles up as a wall painting on canvas. Named iBall Frame, the speaker has an all-round connectivity option such as Bluetooth, USB and microSD. It also has several modes to stream audio from different sources, including FM radio. Interestingly, the speaker does not have a visible antenna, yet it plays music from FM radio channels without compromising on quality.

Priced at Rs 11,999, the iBall Frame comes in seven frame designs, all of which are rectangular. The speaker comes bundled with a remote, which has a power key, along with keys to switch modes, scan radio frequency and volume rocker buttons. The remote controller makes it easy to operate. On the flipside, the speaker is not portable due to its size and weight. It does have a wide base, and can therefore stand on flat surfaces like a floor. However, it is designed in a way that it works best when hung up on a wall. Charging the speaker without pulling it off the wall is also not easy as the USB cable which comes with the device will require an active power source near the device on the wall. Though the speaker has good battery life of up to 12 hours, it takes nearly four hours to charge.

Aesthetics aside, the speaker has good audio output. The sound  is  loud and clear and fills the room adequately. The audio output remains stable even with volume set at maximum. There is no distortion of any sort and the low, mid and high are tuned for music listening experience. Though the speaker is capable, it lacks surround sound experience.

Overall, the iBall Frame looks refreshing and adds to the overall appeal of your home interiors. It has good output and the bundled remote makes it easy to use. Though it seems pricey, if you are looking for experience, this is one of the most captivating gadget that you can get.
