The iPhone 5 will be available in India from on Friday. However, only those who have pre-booked the device a week ago will get to pick it up; others will have to wait for two more weeks before they can lay their hand on the device. The latest phone by the world’s most valuable company will be available across leading Apple outlets.
The base model with 16-GB memory will be sold for Rs 45,500, 32-GB for Rs 52,500 and the 64-GB model will be available for Rs 59,500. A factory unlocked version of iPhone 5 is sold between $699 and $899 in the US market.
According to a sales executive with a leading Apple retailer, all iPhone 5 models that hit the shelves on Friday have been pre-booked. Customers can pre-book the device by paying Rs 5,000 and the delivery time will be 15 days.
