McAfee announces free mobile security solution for Indian users

Security solution to support all Androids and iOS

McAfee, the leading global security technology company today announced a full-featured free mobile security solution for its Indian users. Supporting all Android and iOS (iPhone OS) mobile devices, McAfee Mobile Security solution is targeted at making security a more integrated part of the Indian consumer experience, said the company in a release.

The security solution is available for download in the Google Play Store.

McAfee's recent survey on Indian mobile consumption behavior revealed threats arising out of indiscriminate usage of mobile phones and sharing of private content on mobile devices.

The survey also revealed that 98 percent of polled Indian respondents use smartphones to take pictures and more than 66 percent of polled respondents claimed to share their mobile content.

"With India placed on the tip of mobile device explosion, there is an overwhelming need of adoption of security and privacy protection in our digital lives,"the release quoted Managing Director-(India and SAARC) Jagdish Mahapatra as saying. With free access to McAfee's mobile security product, Indian consumers will be empowered to access all the benefits of this connected world and enjoy a safe mobile life," he added.
