Moto E: A good run for first-time smartphone users

Motorola Mobility on Tuesday launched the Moto E entry smartphone in New Delhi on Tuesday. The phone will be up for sale on Flipkart.com from Wednesday for Rs 6,999. At this price, its main competitors are the Nokia Asha series and Samsung's Rex models.

Mainly aimed at those who still haven't graduated to a smartphone, the dual-microSIM E comes with a 4.3-inch TFT display and looks like the Moto G budget phone. What it doesn't have is a front camera and high resolution display. The rear camera is a 5MP full wide VGA one with 4X zoom. At 540 by 960 pixels the screen is quarter high-definiton.
