The app, developed by an Australian wine company, can calculate how many standard drinks are in a wine glass, regardless of the size or shape of the glass.
The Jacob's Creek's Wine Line augmented reality app can then keep track of how many standard drinks the person has consumed in each session, news.Com.Au quoted The Advertiser as reporting.
Drinkers using the Wine Line app trace the outline of the wine in their glass and then select the type of wine they're drinking.
They can either select a specific wine from the app's database of more than 70 labels, or type in their wine's alcohol percentage that's found on the back of the bottle.
