Patni board meet on Thursday

Narendra K Patni, the non-executive Chairman of Patni Computer Systems, will finally bid adieu to the company.

Patni who started the company in 1978, and credited to have started the offshoring trend in India, is expected to resign from the company’s Board at the meet on Thursday. His brother Ashok Patni, non-executive director, will also resign from his board seat.

Jeya Kumar, the current CEO will also resign from his board position after the meet. “With both the brothers leaving the board, the company will also reconstitute the board,” said sources in the know. Kumar had joined the company in 2008.

Source also confirmed that senior managers like Surajeet Singh, CFO and Steve Correll, human resourse head will also eventually step down.
