Patni seeks land in Gandhinagar IT SEZ

Mumbai-based IT service and business solution company, Patni Computers Systems Limited, has applied for a 15-20 acre land in the upcoming IT special economic zone (SEZ) being developed by the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) in Gandhinagar.
 
The company is planning to invest Rs 300 crore for expanding its operations in Gujarat.
 
The company already has a centre at Gandhinagar GIDC, which is working at full capacity with around 250 employees.
 
"Ideally, we expect to acquire 15-20 acre, which could house at least 5,000 professionals," said Sunil Joshi, associate vice-president (software), Patni Computer Systems Ltd.
