The anniversary-edition iPhone X takes a break from traditional iPhone design, features and capabilities. The smartphone brings the best of technology in a compact yet mesmerising form factor. It houses industry first edge-to-edge screen on front -- with a small cut-out on top for earpiece and sensors – augmented reality, animojis and dual-camera set-up. The iPhone X sets a precedent for future iPhones.
The only smartphone from the Android clan that could compete with the iPhone X is the Zenfone AR. Launched in the first half of the year, the smartphone does miss some technology advancements – 18:9 aspect ratio screen, for example. However, the phone has other traits that put it at the forefront in comparison with other premium smartphones. These technologies include Google Tango and Daydream compatibility for augmented reality and virtual reality, and Google Assistant for artificial intelligence.
