Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo V9 Pro in India on September 26. The Amazon-exclusive smartphone is a successor of the Vivo V9, which was launched in India earlier this year. Compared to the Vivo V9, the Pro-edition gets a new processor and more RAM. In terms of design and features, the smartphone is expected to be similar to the Vivo V9.
In terms of specifications and features, the Vivo V9 Pro would sport a 6.3-inch notch-based screen. Named FullView Display, the notch area accommodates front camera, sensors and earpiece. The phone would be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 system-on-chip (SoC), paired with 6GB of RAM. The phone would sport a dual camera module on the back, featuring a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensing lens. For selfies, there would be a 24MP front facing camera of f/2.0 aperture size. Both the front and back camera modules are expected to support artificial intelligence capabilities for beauty mode, portrait mode and automatic scene selection. The phone is expected to have 64GB of storage, expandable up to 256GB using microSD card. As for the price, news wire IANS recently reported that the Vivo V9 Pro will be priced under Rs 20,000.
In comparison, the Vivo V9 is powered by Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, expandable up to 256 GB through microSD card. The phone supports AI in camera interface for face beauty, selfie lighting, bokeh effect and HDR mode. The V9 also sports a 6.3-inch fullHD+ screen with a notch on top, accommodating front camera, sensors and earpiece. The phone has a split screen feature that allows user to watch a video in one window and chat on WhatsApp on another. Priced at Rs 23,990, the Vivo V9 is available exclusively on Amazon India.
