Zoook ZB-BHP15: 10-metre machine

For most people who love listening to music on the go, a pair of good headphones is a must. Compared to ear phones, they block noise levels more effectively and the chances of losing headphones are much less than those of earphones.

Zoook's ZB-BHP15 is a value-for-money headphone. It's a supra aural, or on-the-ear variety, which is easy to carry around. Unlike a few other headphones, you can yoke the Zoook to a smartphone to make and receive calls. Much to our surprise, the sound quality is much better than on the regular phone earphones.

The BHP15 is also a Bluetooth-enabled wireless earphone. However the wireless range is pretty limited, and beyond 10 metres you will find it difficult connect it to another device.

When you are listening to music or even playing games, the BHP15 blocks external sounds and noise quite effectively. At the same time, it is advisable not to increase the volume to more than 70 per cent of its capacity. The headphone also runs on a 400-mAH polymer battery which gives you a playtime of about five hours. It takes about four hours to recharge the headset.

This set of headphones retails at Rs 2,999. However, on e-shopping sites like Flipkart and Homeshop18, it is available for around Rs 2,000. At that price, it's more than a decent set of headphones to pick. It fulfils all the basic requirements without burning a hole in your pocket.
