Sitaram Yechury

(Late) Sitaram Yechury was an Indian politician and a prominent leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)]. He was a member of the party since his student days and was known for his articulate advocacy of leftist ideology. Yechury served multiple terms as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, representing the state of West Bengal. As General Secretary of the CPI(M) since 2015, he played a key role in shaping the party's policies and strategies, focusing on issues such as social justice, secularism, and workers' rights.
