Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd, promoted by Zuari Industries Limited (ZIL), has resumed operation at its urea plant in Kota (Rajasthan) on September 7, 2014. The plant was shut down since August 23, 2014 due to a leakage in ammonia synthesis gas converter. At that time, Chambal Fertilisers had said that it would take two weeks for the plant to resume production.
In a BSE filing on 8 September, Chambal Fertilisers informed that the urea plant has recommenced its operation on September 7, 2014.
