Taking Make in India initiative forward, four Indian PSUs have signed a collaborative agreement with overseas companies at Hannover industrial fair in Germany to boost domestic manufacturing of machine tools and other industrial equipment. Six memorandum of understanding (MoUs) were signed by Indian public sector companies with global firms, during a special event organised by Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) at the India Pavilion in Hannover Messe 2015.
While Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has joined hands with Russian Joint Stock Company, INTMA, for upcoming projects in Russia and Kazakhstan, Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Ltd (REIL) has inked pact with Bulgaria’s Milkotronics Ltd for manufacturing milk analysers in India.
Similarly, Instrumentations Ltd will collaborate with KE Kauer Engineering, Germany, for production of control valves. Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) has signed MoUs with Swiss firm Num Controls (for manufacturing of CNC controls, systems and drives); Germany’s FT Machine Tools for collaborating on flow forming machines and Enit GmbH, Germany, for total engineering solutions.
