Simplex Castings bags Rs 54 cr contract from Indian Railways

Simplex Castings Ltd, a supplier of heavy engineering castings, has received Rs 54 crore contract from Indian Railways. “The company has received an order from Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW), owned by Indian Railways, worth of Rs 54 crore approximately which will execute by the company in next three quarters. This worthy order will be add-on to performance of the company in current financial year. The abovementioned order is approximately 31 percent of total turnover of the company in previous financial year 2014-15,” said Simplex Castings in a BSE filing on November 19, 2015.
 
Simplex Castings Ltd is engaged in manufacturing of heavy engineering castings in various grades (in cast, machined and assembled condition) for all industrial sectors like steel plants, power plants (thermal, hydro, wind), railways, mines, chemical, oil, defense, machine tools, heavy valves & pumps castings, ship building, etc. The company has two manufacturing plants at Bhilai and Raipur in Chhattisgarh, the country’s mineral rich state.
