Unichem receives US FDA approval for hypertension drug losartan
The product will be commercialised from Unichem's Ghaziabad plant, while active pharmaceutical ingredients will be made at Pithampur API plant in Madhya Pradesh
Unichem Laboratories has received ANDA approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for losartan potassium tablets, which are used in treatment of hypertension. Losartan potassium tablets USP 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg are generic version of Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp's Cozaar tablets.
The product will be commercialised from Unichem's Ghaziabad plant, while active pharmaceutical ingredients will be made at Pithampur API plant in Madhya Pradesh.
