To be an entrepreneur in the 21st century can be easily equated with being on the frontline at war - simultaneously juggling funding, business development and various other elements that go into making their business a successful one. In order to keep this world of business spinning round successfully, a reality TV show hosted on ET Now, serves as champion to this dire necessity almost every entrepreneur faces. The Vault looks to be a savior in order to bridge the financial gap between the entrepreneur and their successful business ventures. SMEs, the student community, household and rural ventures as well as start-ups get a chance to step inside The Vault. Here applicants are in a race to win an investment from top notch investors all based on their 20 second pitch outside the door. If their idea piques the investor’s interest, they’ve unlocked the Vault. Unsuccessful entrepreneurs end their journey at this point.
A first of its kind Indian reality TV show for the business world, complete with its own kind of thrill and excitement, The Vault gives an opportunity to various applicants for their one shot at glory. The key to unlocking this vault of opportunities lies in the ideas of the entrepreneurs, with highest priority given to the degree of innovation in their ideas. The final contestants who enter The Vault will engage in successive discussions and elaborate pitches. Consequently, if the investors decide to fund and seal the deal, the investment can be structured in any form that the investors and the entrepreneurs agree upon - commonly equity and in rare cases debt funding. The panel has multiple offers on the table ranging from collective funding, debt, equity as well as royalty are amongst many of the offers laid in front of the entrepreneurs. A startup may then choose to consult an in-house business expert upon receiving more than one offer. Finally, the entrepreneur accepts or declines the offers. In addition to this, promising start-ups are given incubation and mentorship if they aren’t offered funding – win-win situations!
