IndiGo, Accor to collaborate on loyalty programmes for flyers, guests

Gurugram-based IndiGo on Wednesday announced its plans to enter into an agreement with Accor for a loyalty programme. Both IndiGo and global hospitality major Accor offer their loyalty programmes- IndiGo Bluechip and ALL-Accor Live Limitless,-- to their customers, providing multiple benefits. The two partners have now agreed to develop a strategic collaboration through their loyalty programs, IndiGo said. IndiGo had last year, on the occasion of its 18th anniversary, rolled out the BluChip loyalty programme to its customers. "Now IndiGo moves to the next phase to strengthen its loyalty programme by exploring and developing strategic partnerships," said Pieter Elbers, CEO at IndiGo. The collaboration would allow to partner on a wide range of initiatives, such as rewards points sharing, co-branded loyalty and seamless two-way conversion, it said adding this, in turn, would enable members to earn and redeem points across flights, stays and experiences. Accor plans to open 30 new hotels in India in 3-5 years to tap potential

French hospitality major Accor plans to open 30 new properties in India in the next three to five years to tap the huge potential here, according to its Senior Vice President Operations, India and South Asia, Puneet Dhawan. The hotel chain, which has nine brands in India out of 40 from its global portfolio, will also consider introducing more brands in the country to cater to different segments of customers here. "Currently our pipeline is about 30 signed contracts...These are expected (to be operational) in the next three to five years," Dhawan told PTI when asked about the company's expansion plans in India. These properties will be developed by local partners and run by Accor under its existing nine brands in India, including Fairmont, Novotel, Mercure and Pullman, among others. IndiGo renews its partnership with French hospitality group Accor

Budget carrier IndiGo on Monday said it has renewed its partnership with French hospitality group Accor. Through this partnership, IndiGo's 6E Rewards members can now avail a 15 per cent discount, when they book directly with Accor and earn up to 6 per cent 6E Rewards as feature partner on any spends across Accor properties in India, Sri Lanka and participating hotels in Maldives, IndiGo said in the release. These offers are also valid at the newly-launched Accor properties in Udaipur, Chandigarh and the most recently launched property at Vikhroli, in Mumbai, it added.
