Latest data showed that in the first 15 days of October, UPI transactions crossed 1 billion, experts say in the festive season this could breach 2 billion
The RBI data on Friday showed the currency with the public grew 15.2 percent to Rs 21.59 lakh crore as of the fortnight to October 25, as against Rs 17.97 lakh crore on November 4, 2016.
This is an over two-fold jump from Rs 7.8 trillion as on December 9, 2016 -- the lowest level it had seen after the announcement of the demonetisation decision
