Pakistan On Hafiz Saeed

The cases of terror financing have been registered against him in Lahore and Gujranwala cities on the application of Counter Terrorism Department of Punjab police

The CTD on July 3 registered 23 FIRs against 13 JuD leaders including Saeed on the charges of terror financing in different cities of Punjab province

Saeed, who has several cases pending against him was travelling to Gujranwala from Lahore to appear before an anti-terrorism court when the arrest took place

Saeed has been under house arrest in Lahore since January 30 under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997

The JuD has already been declared as a foreign terrorist organisation by the US in 2014

Saeed is accused by India of masterminding the Mumbai terror attack of November 2008
