Expelled AIADMK leader V K Sasikala, undergoing treatment for COVID-19 in a hospital here, would be discharged on Sunday, a bulletin said. "Sasikala Natarajan completed 10 days of treatment today. She has been asymptomatic and maintaining saturation without oxygen for the past three days. As per protocol, she can be discharged from the hospital," Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute said in the bulletin. "The team of doctors attending to her has taken the decision that she is fit for discharge and she will be discharged tomorrow, but has been advised home quarantine," it said. Sasikala was released on Wednesday after she completed four years of imprisonment in a jail here in a case of disproportionate assets. Jailed AIADMK leader VK Sasikala's husband, M Natarajan, has undergone liver and kidney transplant, her relative and sidelined party member TTV Dhinakaran said today. Natarajan had been undergoing treatment at a corporate hospital for the past few days. "I have received information that the liver and kidney transplant surgery has been performed on uncle," Dhinakaran told reporters here before leaving for the hospital where 74- year-old Natarajan is admitted. Sasikala had sought a 15-day parole from the Karnataka Prisons authorities to meet Natarajan but the plea was rejected on technical grounds. Confirming the news, Dhinakaran said that he was informed by their advocate that her plea for parole had been "rejected due to insufficient details."
