India will experience above-normal cumulative rainfall this monsoon, the India Meteorological Department said on Tuesday, ruling out the possibility of El Nino conditions during the entire season. "This year southwest monsoon seasonal rainfall from June to September over the country as a whole during this year is most likely to be above normal category...with cumulative rainfall estimated at 105 per cent of the long-period average of 87 cm," Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) M. Ravichandran told in a press conference in Delhi.
