The joint venture will help MBTA scale up its operations in the country.

"After signing up, we will have 49 academies and, going forward, we plan to have 100 academies by 2009-end. We will invest around Rs 10 crore," said MBTA Managing Director Mahesh Bhupathi.

The combined entity will manage and run tennis coaching programmes at 49 locations in India and the UAE. It will promote tennis at the grassroot level by providing local clubs and schools with greater support and resources at both the local and national level.
