ACC today said its consolidated net profit declined 79 per cent to Rs 86.31 crore for the third quarter ended September 30, 2010.
The cement maker had a consolidated net profit of Rs 415.51 crore in the same quarter last year, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Total income of the firm decreased to Rs 1,840.73 crore from Rs 2,129.68 crore in the year ago quarter.
On a standalone basis, the company's net profit for the qurter under review declined to Rs 100.04 crore as against Rs 435.63 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total income fell to Rs 1,718.09 crore from Rs 2,020.24 crore in the year ago quarter.
The shares of the company closed at Rs 983, up 1.5 per cent on the BSE today.
