BSNL to train budding engineers for employability

12-week program a JV between BSNL, All India Council for Technical Education

After successfully launching CA entrance coaching, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is ready to train engineering students for employability under a specially designed program, said officials.

 

The 12-week Employability Enhancement Training Program (EETP) is a joint venture between BSNL and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). 

 

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is a national level statutory body for technical education, its promotion and development in the country. 

 

“The purpose of the program is to bridge the gap between industry requirement and academics by providing skill-based training,” said Ganesh Chandra Pandey, General Manager, BSNL Indore.

 

Around 300 electronics and communication students from 44 engineering colleges in Indore selected on the basis of merit will be trained during this program which will last till December, added Pandey.

 

The training program has been divided in three parts i.e. siver, gold and platinum starting from 5th semester students of engineering, said officials.

 

The Employability Enhancement Training Program (EETP) will be conducted at BSNL’s state level Circle Telecom Trainning Centre (CTTC) in Vijaynagar Indore.

 

CTTC Indore is a training centre for BSNL officials in telecom, information technology, marketing, personality development and related disciplines. 

 

Experienced training professionals of CTTC will guide the students in the program.

 

There will be no financial burden on students as the program is free of cost, said officials. 

 

The program is under unique corporate social responsibility of BSNL and AICTE will pay a nominal amount to BSNL on per student basis.

 

An agreement was signed between AICTE and BSNL for this program and around 17 BSNL centers were selected for the first phase and 9 for the second phase of the program.
