IT management software company CA today announced that Saurabh Srivastava will become the new chairman of CA India, effective April 6.

Srivastava will report directly to CAs President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Christenson and will lead and mentor CAs India sales and development operations, a statement said.

This is a clear indication of the importance of India to CA as a market and as a global technology center, Christenson said, adding that "part of CAs long-term strategy is maximising our penetration in emerging IT market powerhouses such as India."

"Saurabh, in the unique role of chairman of CA India, brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience about the Indian market and IT industry, which will be invaluable as we seek to expand our operations in India and position ourselves appropriately with the country's technology elite, Government and venture capital communities," Christenson said in a statement issued here.

CA maintains offices in Mumbai, Bangalore and New Delhi and a state-of-the-art R&D facility in Hyderabad.

Presently, more than 30 per cent of CAs world-wide development is performed in India and India is CAs fastest- growing geography. Srivastavas worked extensively in the US, UK, India and Singapore in senior positions with leading international companies such as IBM and Unisys.
