Tata Chem net at Rs 196.74 crore

Tata Chemicals has posted a net profit of Rs 196.74 crore for the year ended 31 March 2003 compared to Rs 126.82 crore for 2001-02. Total income increased from Rs 1,516.05 crore in FY-02 to Rs 1,707.21 crore in FY-03.

Aftek Infosys

Aftek Infosys has reported a 19.8 per cent growth in its net profit for the third quarter ended March 31 2003 at Rs 10.87 crore against Rs 9.07 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal. Net sales during the quarter were Rs 24.02 crore against Rs 16.13 crore during the same period of the earlier fiscal.

VST Industries

The board of directors of VST Industries has recommended a 55 per cent dividend for 2002-03 as against 45 per cent for the preceding year. The city-based cigarette manufacturer has recorded a 3.40 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 38.24 crore despite a 1.85 per cent fall in gross sales at Rs 667 crore for the year.

Finolex Cables

Finolex Cables has posted a net profit of Rs 24.72 crore for the year ended 31 March 2003 as compared to Rs 65.95 crore for 2001-02.
