Designer and manufacturer of diesel engines Cummins India today reported a 78.71 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 133.34 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2008, as compared to Rs 74.61 crore in the December quarter of FY08.
Net sales rose to Rs 783.75 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 617.11 crore in the corresponding year ago period.
Besides, the company has also declared an interim dividend of 200 per cent at Rs four per share 19.8 crore equity shares of Rs 2 each for the financial year 2008-09.
Further, this is in addition to the special dividend of 120 per cent declared in last month.
