Dr Reddy's announces senior level changes

North America operations head Umang Vohra quits after a 13-year stint in the company

Dr Reddy's Laboratories Limited today announced the senior level changes in their global management structure after Umang Vohra stepped down from the position of executive vice president and head of North America Generics.

Alok Sonig, executive vice president and head India Generics will now take over as executive vice president and head North America Generics, according to a statement issued by the company. In his place M V Ramana, who is currently executive vice president - Emerging Markets - has been given additional charge as vice president and head Branded Markets(India and Emerging countries), it said.

"Umang Vohra is moving out of the organisation and has consequently stepped down from the position of Executive Vice President & Head North America Generics," Dr Reddy's said.

Umang joined Dr Reddy's in 2002 from PepsiCo and has been a part of several key initiatives in the areas of acquisitions, R&D de-risking transactions, and operational movements in accounting, governance and finance processes, according to the company website. Prior to his North America assignment he was the chief financial officer of the company from January 2009 to December 2012.
