Greaves automotive to supply diesel engines for TVS King

TVS King is a three-wheeler product from TVS Motor

Greaves Automotive Engines Business, part of Greaves Cotton Limited, will supply single cylinder diesel engines (G435) for TVS King DS (diesel variant), a three-wheeler product from TVS Motor. The product is currently plying on roads in Kerala.

"Customers of TVS King DS will now have access to Greaves’ wide aftermarket network,” Sunil Pahilajani, managing director & chief executive officer, Greaves Cotton Limited said in a statement.

With Greaves G435 diesel engines powering the TVS King DS, customers can now enjoy improved engine performance and better mileage, he said.

The company witnessed a significant increase in sales in the three wheeler segment, with sales growing by 81% from 3,907 units in August 2012 to 7,063 units in August 2013.
