IT firm HCL Infosystems today reported a decline of 11.2% in consolidated net profit at Rs 53.28 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.
The company had a net profit of Rs 60 crore in the same period last year, HCL Infosystems said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Net sales of the company declined to Rs 2,730 crore during January-March quarter, as against Rs 2,814.50 crore in the same year-ago period.However, on a standalone basis, the company reported a net profit of Rs 53.96 crore,
up 19.17% in the same period previous year.
The board has proposed an interim dividend of Rs 2 per share on the face value of Rs 2 each for the financial year 2010-11.
Shares of HCL Infosystems were trading at Rs 109.20 on the BSE, down 1.04% from the previous close.
