The state owned Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) has launched the e-procurement system.
It has released its first construction tender worth Rs 153 lakhs relating to the construction of Utkal Rangamancha, implemented by the corporation on behalf of the culture department.
The management of IDCO has decided to adopt the e-procurement system for works costing Rs 50 lakhs and above.
The logistic support is being provided by the Information Technology department of the Orissa government, e-procurement mission and the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Bhubaneswar.
The state owned unit organised two day workshop where the officials of the NIC educated the IDCO officials about the implementation of the new system.
