Tata Group firm Indian Hotels today said its net profit in third quarter of current fiscal plummeted 37.69 per cent to Rs 83.85 crore.
The company had a net profit of Rs 134.58 crore in the third quarter last financial year, Indian Hotels Company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income of hotels, resort and restaurant firm also fell to Rs 478.61 crore in December quarter of FY'09, from Rs 525 crore last fiscal.
For the nine-month period ended December 31, the Tata Group firm posted a net profit of Rs 195.78 crore, a 19.29 per cent decline over the corresponding period a year ago. It had a net profit of Rs 242.58 crore in the same period FY'08.
Shares of Indian Hotel were trading at Rs 38.95, unchanged from its previous close on the BSE.
