Jindal Steel & Power today said its consolidated net profit rose by 7.73 per cent to Rs 963 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2010.
Total income rose to Rs 3,205 crore for the quarter ended March 31, from Rs 2,876.50 crore in the same period last year, Jindal Steel & Power said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The board has proposed a dividend at 125 per cent, which is Rs 1.25 per equity share of the face value of Re 1 each.
For the year ended March 31, 2010, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,634.5 crore, up 20.86 per cent over the same year-ago period.
Shares of Jindal Steel & Power today closed at Rs 718.10 on BSE, down 1.76 per cent from previous close.
