JSW Steel has decided to increase production from the present 7.8 million tonnes a year to 32 million tonnes annually by 2020, a senior executive of the firm said here yesterday.
Inaugurating a showroom here, Deputy General Manager (Sales) Saji Samuel said that to achieve the production target of 32 million tonnes a year, the company is now concentrating on starting more steel plants in West Bengal and Jharkhand.
The Siliguri retail outlet is the 43rd one of the company in the country, and the firm has a plan to have its 50th centre by March next year. JSW had an ultimate target to have an outlet in each district of the country, he said.
