"Consequent upon his appointment as Central Provident Fund Commissioner (CPFC) Krishan Kumar Jalan has assumed the charge in EPFO head office," an office order said.
Earlier, the Appointment Committee of Cabinet had approved Jalan's name for CPFC in the EPFO under the Labour Ministry, in the rank and pay of additional secretary, to fill the vacancy of R C Mishra.
Mishra had retired on November 30 last year. Additional Labour Secretary Anil Swarup was holding additional charge of the CPFC office after Mishra retired.
