Tile maker Kajaria Ceramics today posted 44% growth in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011 at Rs 18.43 crore.
For the three months period ended March 31, 2010 the company's net profit was Rs 12.77%, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company's net sales for the quarter under review grew by 31% at Rs 281.32 crore, compared to Rs 214.46 crore in the fourth quarter of 2009-10.
For the full year ended March 31, 2011, the company's net profit was up 69% at Rs 60.66 crore as against Rs 38.85 crore in the prior fiscal.
Kajaria Ceramics' net sales in 2010-11 saw an increase of 29% at Rs 952.35 crore, compared to Rs 735.53 crore in 2009-10, the filing said.
The company's scrips closed at Rs 88.50 per share, up 3.39% compared to the previous close on the BSE.
