Electronic payment solutions provider, CyberSource today said it has tied-up with private air-carrier Kingfisher Airlines to fight e-commerce fraud through the company's decision manager global fraud management portal as well as its performance monitoring service.

CyberSource is the UK-based wholly-owned subsidiary of CyberSource Corporation of the US.

"A single connection to CyberSource links Kingfisher Airlines to the fraud portal. The CyberSource system applies over 150 global validation tests, including a multi-merchant transaction history model, against inbound e-commerce bookings," a company press release said here.

Then applying business rules set by the airline, the system automatically makes a decision to accept, reject or mark transactions for further review, it said.

"By using our robust solution, the airlines customers can benefit from a faster, more efficient online booking service," CyberSource's Head of Client and Technical Services Akif Khan said in the release.

Commenting on the tie-up, Kingfisher Airlines' Chief Information Officer, Sourav Sinha said: "With the threat of online fraud in our industry, we needed a reliable solution to not only help reduce fraud levels but also to minimise our reliance on manual review. We found CyberSource to have the most complete risk management solution for the airline industry."

As part of the performance monitoring service, CyberSource experts are helping Kingfisher Airlines design and configure its order screening strategies and processes, the release said.

Following implementation, CyberSource fraud analysts would monitor business performance and work with Kingfisher Airlines to tune rules, systems, and processes to optimise results, it said.
