Airports Authority of India (AAI) has identified around 45 acres in the Kolkata airport vicinity for commercial development that would include a budget hotel.
"We have 45 acres of land and we will develop this for commerical benefit and we would adopt public-private-partnership model for the same," Kolkata Airport director B P Sharma, said on the sidelines of Bengal Leads. The airports authority will soon float a tender for the commercial project. “We have appointed IL&FS to do the feasibility study. We expect to get the report by the end of March,” Sharma said.
He said he was looking for budget hotels, conference room and other facilities that would generate revenue for us.
