Premium car-maker Mercedes Benz today launched a new edition of its GL-Class sports utility vehicle in India, priced up to Rs 65.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
"Mercedes-Benz is an aspirational brand and GL-Class has received very encouraging response from customers since its launch in India. The GL 'Grand Edition' has been aggressively priced for the Indian market," Mercedes-Benz India Director (Sales & Marketing) Debashis Mitra said in a statement.
Introduction of the vehicle will further strengthen the company's dominance in the luxury large SUV segment, he added.
The SUV has been launched in two variants -- Executive and Luxury -- priced at Rs 60.99 lakh and Rs 65.5 lakh, respectively, the company said.
The new edition of the vehicle comes with many features, such as 10-spoke, 20-inch light alloy wheels, two-tone leather seats and metallic paint finishes.
