McLeod Russel Q1 net up 35%

Net sales for the quarter was up by 21.61% to Rs 174.45 crore

McLeod Russel India has recorded a 35.37% increase in net profit to Rs 26.21 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2013.

Net sales for the quarter was up by 21.61% to Rs 174.45 crore, primarily due to higher crop. Operating earning before interest and tax during the quarter was higher at Rs 21.72 crore.

According to the company, recovery in production during 2013 would stabilize prices during 2013-14.
