The Uttar Pradesh smartphone market is pegged at rougly 700,000 units a month. The devices Microsoft Lumia 532 and Microsoft Lumia 435 are priced at Rs 6,499 and Rs 5,999, respectively, Microsoft subsidiary Nokia India Director (East) Kislay Kumar said here.
These smart phones run on Windows Phone 8.1 operating system and Lumia Denim.
India is amongst the fastest growing smartphones markets with sales during 2013 and 2014 calendar years standing at 4.4 million and 80 million respectively.
During 2015, the domestic smart phone market is estimated to touch 130-150 million units. Almost 80 per cent of this segment would be accounted for by the affordable category with price tags below Rs 12,000.
