NDTV Q1 PAT at Rs 2.08 cr

Media house NDTV Ltd today reported a profit after tax of Rs 2.08 crore for the quarter ended June 30 as against a loss of Rs 2.15 crore in the year- ago period.     

The revenue during the quarter also rose by 56 per cent to Rs 95.5 crore against Rs 61.21 crore, it clocked, in the same period last year, the company said in a statement.     

"The group has posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 524 crore, which includes an exceptional amount of Rs 642 crore arising on dilution by subscription of shares by US-based NBCU in an overseas subsidiary," it added.     

The fund raising of over Rs 600 crore from NBCU would be utilised for group's expansion plans in India, NDTV said.
