State-run hydro-electric power producer NHPC today paid an interim dividend of Rs 125 crore for the current financial year to the government as compared to Rs 100 crore in the previous fiscal.
"NHPC has paid an interim dividend of Rs 125 crore to the government today for the financial year 2008-09, as against Rs 100 crore paid last year," a company statement said.
The interim dividend cheque for an amount of Rs 125 crore was presented to Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde by NHPC Chairman and Managing Director S K Garg in the Power Ministry today.
