Passengers of over 50 Jet Airways flights, operating in and out of the national capital, today complained of not being informed about the status of their flights despite claims by the airlines on the contrary.

"We were not informed about the cancellation of my flight to Hyderabad by the airlines. After arriving here from Dehradun and getting the news about the strike on the TV, I rushed to the airport only to know that my flight has been cancelled," said Samir Bhattacharya, who had to attend a seminar.

Similarly, Mohd Riyazuddin, who hails from Bihar's Siwan district and had to catch a Jet Airways flight to Riyadh from Mumbai, also complained about not being informed about the status of his flight by the airlines.

"I had to take a flight to Mumbai in the evening, but the people at the counter are giving me status of my flight. They just asked me to come an hour before the departure of the flight. Had I not known about it on the TV, I would have been in the dark," Riyazuddin, who had to join his new job of a welder in Riyadh claimed.

Similarly, a lady from Italy also faced problem as her flight to Udaipur was cancelled and she had the urgency of reaching her destination to see her ailing mother. She was later accommodated in another flight.

However, the airlines authorities claimed that they had informed the passengers in advance about the cancellation of their flights.
