Infrastructure player Punj Lloyd has won a $800 million (Rs 3,636 crore) engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning contract from Qatar Petroleum’s gas transmission project, the company said in a communication to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
This is the company’s fourth EPC contract in Qatar.
The project includes laying of the 211 km pipeline with associated stations and infrastructure.
The project will transport 2,000 Mmscfd (million standard cubic feet per day) of gas from Ras Laffan in Qatar to different consumers.
The project is likely to be completed in 32 months.
At 2 pm, the company’s share price at the BSE was trading at Rs 293.45, marginally down from the previous close.
