Ravi Krishnan, vice chairman of IPL’s Rajasthan Royals, has moved back to his former role of Managing Director at IMG, effective April 1, 2009. He will be relinquishing his responsibilities as vice chairman, Rajasthan Royals.
Krishnan will join IMG – the sports, fashion and entertainment events management firm - as managing director and senior vice president IMG South Asia, IMG said in a release here today.
He moves back to IMG India after two years. He had earlier spent over 11 years with IMG South Asia and was based in India.
"It is true that I have decided to take up this new role at IMG. These are interesting times for the group and for India. In addition to managing existing IMG properties we will look to developing innovative initiatives, in the near future, both from our global bouquet as well as home grown," Ravi Krishnan said.
Krishnan had resigned from IMG India in April 2006.
